The title of this performance has changed each time since it refers to the number of women killed by domestic violence in Spain in the current year.
The artist named the women and, when each name was said, she took off a piece of wall paper and nailed it to a trunk. Gradually, she discovered a photograph of her face showing signs of having suffered violence.
The blows, the hammer and the nails, along with the sound produced, symbolize the violence, while the trunk is a metaphor for the tree of life: as a woman, the tree bears fruit. But this is a cut tree, a life cropped.
